I love books from all genres, but right now I'm on a mystery, contemporary, and YA kick. I have two cats, Monkey and Peepers.
Hot motherfuckin' damn.
Oh seriously...why can't more m/m authors write like this?
Yes, I want smex sometimes. Yes, I want angst or humor or hell, even an easy read.
But what I want more than all of that is some damn plot. It shouldn't always be just about two dudes humping and falling in love.
Gimme action, gimme something I couldn't think up in my wildest dreams, give me the anti-hero and make me love him more than anything else, make all my pre-conceived notions about what I'll read disappear.
Put the phrase "everything but the kitchen sink" and kick it on its ASS and make it work anyway. Make me NEED a sequel.
Surpise me!!! This book did all that and then some. I'll write more of an actual review later, but this and Magpie did that for me this year, and this probably edged out Magpie. Loved, loved, loved.
